International ACAC offers many different programs to our members, including professional development programs, funding opportunities, and community groups. Find out more about our various programs below.
The mission of the Mentor Year Program is to provide a formal mentorship program where members build relationships with members in support of their professional development. The International ACAC Mentor Year Program provides a focused, familiar community for professionals seeking growth through mentorship. Through 1:1 Mentor/Mentee relationships, regular participant meetings, and regular committee updates, Mentees will build their skill-set, knowledge base, and resources for their own personal and professional development and for the benefit of the student populations that they serve.

The mission of the International ACAC Scholar Program is to support under-resourced, high-impact advising professionals facilitating students' access and transition to higher education.

Affinity groups, or resource groups, provide opportunities to promote diversity and inclusion. International ACAC is interested in creating safe spaces to foster a sense of belonging, networking, innovation, and our commitment towards diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Affinity Groups met for the first time at the 2024 Conference, and will continue in a virtual setting throughout the year. If you have any questions or want to get involved, reach out to VP_DEI@InternationalACAC.org.

2024 Summer Enrichment Programs
Colleges and universities are offering short-term online and on-campus programs that offer a taste of what life would be like at their institution. Some offer a mixture of academic and social content, courses taught by tenured professors, and even an opportunity to earn credit. These programs provide a fantastic way to discover college life and an enriching summer experience.

Note - none of these programs have been endorsed by International ACAC. This is provided only as a resource guide for our members. Temple University, Japan Campus: Tokyo, Japan
TUJ invites high school students to a summer of language and cultural experiences in Tokyo. The 8-night program includes a unique mix of Japanese language classes and one of four exciting electives. With adventures in Tokyo, an overnight excursion to Nikko, and a trip to DisneySea, this will be your summer to remember!

Global Summer School welcomes more than 400 students, representing over 50 nationalities to Imperial every year. The two-week programme offers students a unique opportunity to develop their STEM subject knowledge and gain practical skills alongside likeminded students, while adding weight to their future university applications.Students can choose from four subject streams; Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Medicine and Life Sciences, and Physics, and get to take their subject knowledge to the next level through a challenging academic programme that includes classroom-based lectures, laboratory sessions and practical workshops, whilst looking to solve a real-world problem by coming together with students from other academic subjects to share expertise in an Innovation Challenge.

The New School, Parsons Paris: Barcelona, Spain
Parsons Paris Pre-College Summer Program in Barcelona, Spain
June 29 - July 20, 2024
As the Olympics will be taking place in Paris in July 2024, Parsons Paris will host its pre-college summer program in Barcelona, Spain. Pre-college students will benefit from Parsons Paris' excellent pedagogy in a city offering many cultural, historical, and touristic opportunities. Classes will be held a few steps away from the beach, in Poblenou, a district rich with design and technology. This immersive program, taught in English, is open to high school students entering their junior or senior year and to recent high school graduates. Applicants must be 16 to 18 years of age by the start of the course.Note: All Summer Intensive Studies courses can be taken in order to develop a portfolio for the college admission process.

Fordham's Summer Leaders Academy is a residential pre-college program that combines innovative one and two-week academic courses and college application preparation on our beautiful 85-acre campus with activities in the most exciting classroom of all, New York City! The Frontiers program, running for over 40 years, is a residential, overnight program for rising 10, 11, and 12th grade students who want to explore STEM through a collegiate lens, and prepare for their own college journey. Students will be challenged to explore the outer limits of their knowledge in STEM and explore unsolved global issues, along with a touch of humanities through another aspect such business entrepreneurship, digital painting, psychology, and more.

University of the Incarnate Word: Texas, USA

The annual University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) Language and Culture Camp is a two-week program in July open to 12-17 year old international students interested in improving their English skills, gaining study abroad experience in the USA, and meeting new friends from all over the world! Students attend English classes each morning Monday through Friday, with excursions in the afternoons and on weekends. Students stay on the UIW campus in dormitory accommodations. Meals, insurance, excursions, English lessons and accommodations included in one affordable price.
